On Saturday, the Transplant team and our many friends, peers, and supporters gathered at Brooklyn Stillhouse in Red Hook. Along with lovely hats, a raffle, and a fabulous cocktail menu, the first issue of Transplant hit the metaphorical stands.

The first issue of Transplant is all about the relationship between maturity and creativity, whether that's tapping into your inner child like Julian Shapiro-Barnum, staying persistently open to new opportunities like Blair Britenstein, or learning how to bridge the generational gaps in community boards.

We are so grateful to everyone who came and showed their support for our mission — to embody the real New York City.

As our first launch, we so deeply appreciate the power of community, which made not only the event but also Transplant possible.

Justin and the team at Brooklyn Stillhouse went above and beyond for us and everyone who stopped by. Their drinks are top-notch, and we hope you'll continue to stop in, say hi to the beautiful team there, and drink some of their phenomenal cocktails.

Our dear friend Phil kindly helped us with printing and merch design and production. Gabriela helped us secure the most delicious, adorable cake. It's thanks to kind, creative New Yorkers that Transplant is possible.

If you haven't snagged an issue, huge news: It's just the beginning. Subscribe to receive print, and for one month, you can make a one-time print purchase (so no need to subscribe until you decide if it's for you).

You can also buy merch, and there's more to come — so stay tuned.

We'll see you this winter for the launch of our second issue! In the meantime, stay up to date on all things Transplant by subscribing to our newsletters and digital content.

Awesome things are blooming, and we hope you'll continue to be part of the journey.
